A Totally Unique Canadian Dining Experience

Appetizers

Farmers
Market Salad    $7.00

Wandering
around the market with all the fresh vegetables and great foodstuffs,
we can’t help but be inspired. Taste our imagination. We have literally
tons of fresh vegetables and greens available to us and our job is to
illuminate their amazing flavours. Ask us what we’ve found today.

Both
Coast Chowder  $8.00

We are
using Spot Prawns from the West coast and East coast P.E.I lobster to
make this decadent chowder. Butter-poached shellfish, potato spheres,
lemon essence, and fresh herbs help bring the flavours of this country
together. A familiar idea done a little differently.

Acadian
Pork and Pea “Soup”  $6.00

Pressed pork sits in the middle of this
refreshing starter. A purée of split peas and green peas makes a refreshing
counter balance for the rich flavour of long roasted pork. With just
a hint of Canadian mustard, this is not the classic French Canadian
soup you might expect.

Mini
Grilled Cheeses of the Nation  $10.00

Our amazing
and diverse country gives us world class cheese. We have to show our
respect by presenting it slightly melted in artisan bread. These youthful
treats can be enjoyed with a fresh tomato dipping sauce so that we won’t
wreck the memory. C’mon…grilled cheese.

P.E.I.
Lobster Roll  $12.00

The lobster
roll is a staple of Eastern Canada and a favourite of Chef Moe’s.
We are presenting a petite version of this classic that packs a ton
of flavour. With a hint of lemon and a brown butter aioli, this version
will bring a smile to your face even if you’re a purist. Fill yer
boots.

Entrees

Quebec
Inspired Duck Tourtiere  $26.00

The flavours
of Quebec are very apparent in this traditional French dish. Duck confit
is mixed with a spiced duck sausage to heighten the experience of this
meat “pie” and brightened with mapleized onions and a carrot and
vanilla purée
.
Come explore the flavours.

Canadian
Market Fresh Fish

Canada
has a lot of coast line and more lakes then you can count. From these
great waters we will pull the freshest fish possible and prepare it
in a way that best suits the flavour and texture of that fish. As everyday
is different, our culinary guide will tell you all about it.

Slightly
Smoked Prairie Chicken  $24.00

Two preparations
of chicken are presented on this plate. A leek-wrapped chicken breast
and a regal chicken galantine are propped up by three sister’s wild
rice ragout.  This dish is sure to please the experienced diner.

Coffee
and Doughnut Short Ribs  $23.00

Canadians
are known for a few things, our love for coffee and doughnuts and our
quality beef being a couple. Slow braised beef short ribs are slathered
with a coffee and doughnut sauce and served with crème fraiche potatoes
and fresh market vegetables.

Roasted
Vegetable Pavé  $19.00

Being
surrounded by amazing fresh and healthy vegetables is a great thing
for cooks. We take the most beautiful vegetables from the purveyors
here at the market and transform them into a layered tower of flavour.
Delicious changes made from day to day.

Desserts

Canadian
Fruit Experiment  $8.00

Our country
bears many fruit and we want you to experience it.  We will showcase
our fruit through cakes, cookies, ice creams and puddings.  There
is no end to our frumagination.

Prairie
Cherry and Chocolate   $9.00

This
is a fun dessert that will unleash the smiles.  A profiterole stuffed
with brilliant chocolate mousse, a moist chocolate cake topped with
prairie cherry sorbet and a Callebaut chocolate softcake drizzled with
our sour cherry coulis.

Quebec
Sugar Maple Pie   $8.00

Our version
of this classic is both the peasant dessert and its evolution.
Maple syrup in all its glory with a sugar custard is balanced by a slightly
tangy crème fraiche ice cream and nods to the new and old flavours
of Quebec.

Cheeses
of the Nation   $16.00

Canadian
cheeses are brilliant.  We have hand crafted artisan examples of
that for you.  Try our ever changing selections with various fresh
fruit, chutney’s or even honeycomb.  We will keep it interesting,
you will find it delicious.

  1. What a great concept. The menu looks wonderful. What is the price range on each of the categories – appetizers, entrees and desserts? Thank you. Gail

  2. hey, i was just wondering when you are open? Also… the desserts menu isn’t specific of just what type of dessert each category is. Does that mean that it is always changing?

    • The deserts on the menu will change depending on what is available in the market at that time. This means our deserts will feature local fruit and berries that are fresh.
